Dear MetroPulse,

Thanks very much for your August 24 Street Talk article about the Busternut Alleycat (bike ride/race). Last night, about 90 riders participated! Among them were two tandems, a tallbike, streamers, sparklers, teams, and one helmet with one horn on it. Along the course, riders completed formidable challenges such as: writing letters to a stranger's grandmother, screenprinting, and push-ups.
Harper's bike shop team finished first, in about thirty minutes, so they won the coveted trophy known as "Buster." They will bring Buster back for the next alleycat. Most people finished the ride in about an hour. After the ride, we gave out prizes (including Tomato Head gift certificates and cookies) for style and stuff.
Your article helped make our event a success. Again, thanks.
P.S.- anyone who wants to hear about the next Busternut or similarly fun activities should email busternutknoxville@yahoo.com

"What's all this then?

P.F. #1 has become born and grown and lived and shown its charity and, to quote Whitman, it will forever "be curious, not judgmental." It has not been solved. Near 200 contributions have been made, and near 10,000 people have gandered."
